Altezza Travel is acquiring 50 additional safari vehicles, a move that represents one of the most substantial single expansions of its fleet in the company's history. The new Land Cruisers, equipped with pop-up roofs, on-board Wi-Fi, refrigerators, and charging ports — will be deployed across Tanzania, with a particular focus on extending Altezza's presence in the Southern Safari Circuit.

Tanzania's southern parks – Ruaha National Park, Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous), Katavi, and Kitulo – are among the most biodiverse and pristine wilderness areas on the African continent. Ruaha alone is home to one of the largest lion populations in Africa, while Nyerere spans over 30,000 square kilometres, making it the largest national park on the continent. Yet despite this natural wealth, the south has historically attracted only a fraction of the visitor numbers that flow through the Northern Circuit's Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The result is a remarkable landscape that remains, for most travellers, almost entirely undiscovered.

Altezza has operated in the south sporadically, responding to client demand rather than building a systematic presence. That changes with this expansion. The company intends to bring the same operational depth – expert guides, meticulously maintained vehicles, personalised itineraries, and rigorous safety standards – to the southern parks as it has established in the north over more than a decade. For guests, this means gaining access to a genuinely different Tanzania: one with fewer vehicles on the tracks, more intimate wildlife encounters, and landscapes that feel untouched by mass tourism.
