On April 3, 2026, Altezza Travel received confirmation of its nomination for this year's World Travel Awards in the Tanzania's Leading Tour Operator category. The World Travel Awards – often described as the Oscars of the travel industry – are unique among industry recognitions in that the outcome is determined entirely by public vote, making each win a direct reflection of trust earned from travellers themselves rather than from a panel of judges.

Altezza Travel claimed the Tanzania's Leading Tour Operator title in 2024 and again in 2025, becoming the first company in recent memory to win the award in back-to-back years. That run was built on a consistent record across Kilimanjaro expeditions, where Altezza guides more climbers to the summit than any other operator, and an expanding safari programme that has earned the company the top ranking on TripAdvisor for vacations in Tanzania. More than 5,000 clients reached the Kilimanjaro summit with Altezza in 2024 alone, representing 15% of all successful ascents that year.

A third consecutive win in 2026 would mark a significant milestone. It would signal not just sustained quality but a consistent upward trajectory, something especially meaningful given that the award comes directly from the travellers who have experienced Altezza's service first-hand.
